Our easy playdough recipe is allergy friendly, contains 5 ingredients, and only takes 10 minutes of your time.
What I love about Playdough comes threefold. As a mom, I love the individual playtime where I can reheat my tea for the tenth time and enjoy a few moments to myself. The teacher side of me lives for the fine motor skill development that is happening, all that rolling and pinching is great practice for holding a pencil (which believe me, happens faster then you know)! As a daughter, Playdough brings me back to our flower wall-papered kitchen, my mom mixing up a batch of this recipe on Monday mornings, getting ready for her daycare kiddos to arrive.
Note: While this playdough recipe is non-toxic, it is still not meant to be eaten. There is way too much salt in there for little ones.
The Easiest Playdough Recipe and Food Colouring?
We often use natural food colouring options such as turmeric, spinach, and frozen blueberries instead of food colouring. I haven’t perfected this enough to share, sometimes the dough turns out too crunchy so instead I’ll share our favourite food colouring recipe instead. I keep watching here for inspiration.
Our post contains affiliate links for the EzPz mat, if you click it and purchase, I receive a % of the purchase, it does not increase the price for you. Thank you!
We also made our first batch of coloured rice. It was sooo easy to make but let me tell you, it is not for the OCD. The edge of this EzPz mat helped contain some of the rice but definitely not all.
